“At 21, I was learning how to be an adult and how to run a business - all at once.”
Josie, my story.
Welcome to my salon—a space I dreamed of creating long before I even held my first professional hairbrush.
My passion for the beauty world started the moment I was old enough to hold a bottle of nail polish and convinced my parents to let me loose! Growing up in a family of business owners, I didn't just want to work in a salon; I knew I was destined to build one.
At 13, I was handing out CVs to every local salon, before my 14th Birthday, I had landed my first job. I spent five years training and qualifying before turning my sights toward Cirencester. After finding the location, I wanted to create something different: a retreat just outside the hustle and bustle of the town centre, with the convenience of free parking and a calm, pressure-free atmosphere.
After months of renovating a concrete shell into the beautiful space it is today, I opened my doors just after my 21st birthday.
Growing together.
Taking on a business at 21 meant I was navigating the steep learning curve of adulthood and the "ins and outs" of running a company at the exact same time. I’ll be the first to admit I’ve learned and grown with every client who has walked through my door. Those early years taught me that true professionalism isn't about being "stuffy"—it's about grit, dedication, and being real. This salon is the heart of a lifelong dream, and I’m proud that the person I’ve become is reflected in the grounded, welcoming atmosphere you see today.
Why we are different.
While I spent my early years competing with 'weird and wonderful' occasion hair and exploring different creative themes, it was there that I developed a deep love for the magic of wedding mornings. It has always been one of my favourite parts of this industry.
Entering my 30s with a decade of salon ownership behind me has given me a perspective I treasure. I’ve learned that beyond the technical skill, my mission is honesty.
We often hear clients say they don’t feel like they’ve been listened to in the past. Here, we take the time to truly sit with you. I pride myself on transparent, realistic plans—no false hope, just a genuine journey toward your hair goals. For me, the best part of this industry isn’t just the 'masterpiece' we create; it’s the friendships and bonds we build along the way.
A heartfelt thankyou.
I wouldn’t be where I am today without my incredible support system. My Mum and Dad have been my rock throughout this entire journey—quite literally. My Dad built this salon with his own two hands, and I am forever grateful to them both for their endless emotional support and the invaluable business advice that has guided me from day one.
I am also incredibly proud to have had my Salon Manager, Hannah, by my side since the very first day we opened. She is more than a colleague; she is an exceptional friend. Together, we have seen “the good, the bad, and the ugly" over the last ten years, and her loyalty and support have been just as vital to the heart of this business as my own.
Now, together with Becky and Sarah, we continue to run the salon, ensuring it operates beautifully each day, and we are always excited to welcome new talented stylists to join our team and contribute to the salon’s spirit.
This salon is the heart of a lifelong dream, and I can't wait to welcome you into it.
“Together, we have seen ‘the good, the bad, and the ugly’.”
